This tag from The Yellow Hammer state is from the year 1954 and is in very good minus condition. This old nickname for Alabama comes from the color of the home dyed yellow uniforms of the Alabaman Confederate Soldiers during the Civil War. The color of the The paint on this plate is still glossy and has the appearance of a much better tag, however, there are a couple spots of rust on the edges and also a couple small bends. The State of Alabama issued their license plates in pairs during the year 1954. The color is dark blue with white lettering, ALA 54 is at the bottom. The number of this tag is 1-141-797.
