West Virginia license plate from 1953 grading very good plus. The color is yellow with black lettering and they have W. Va. Exp 6-30-53 at the bottom. The state of West Virginia only issued single license plates during the year of 1953 to be displayed on the back of the car. These are from the narrow variety years also, which West Virginia used from 1950 thru 1956, then the federal government mandated that the states issue a regulation sized license plate. I have more than one of these 1953 West Virginia license plates, so the one in the picture might not be the one you receive, but all are the same very good plus quality.
