Virginia license plates pair from 1953 in very good plus condition. The paint is still excellent on these license plates, but the pair does have some bumps, which lowers the grade somewhat. These will still make an excellent pair for your 1953 Ford or Chevrolet for year of manufacture. Check the Virginia year of manufacture (yom)laws before buying for this purpose. The color of these 1953 set of Virginia license plates is dark blue with orange lettering with VIRGINIA and 1953 at the top. The color scheme of the Commonwealth of Virginia for license plates was mainly black and white, this year of 1953 was the only exception to the black and white from 1945 thru 1972.
