1951 Washington DC License Plates

An antique pair of 1951 Washington DC license plates for a passenger automobile. These District of Columbia car tags will grade very good, these have some dirt on them that will probably clean off somewhat. The color is yellow with black letters with DC and 1951 both located at the top, these are short tags with a low department of motor vehicle registration number of 8248. Some of the new car models introduced during 1951 were the Hudson Hornet, Nash Healy, Chrysler K-310, during this year Chrysler also introduced power steering and Plymouth came out with the Belvedere and the Cranbrook. The wealthy crowd had several new luxury cars to choose from this year including the Jaguar C Type, Ferrari 195 and 212 and Mercedes Benz came out with the 300 series.
