Classic pair of fiberboard 1946 IL Car tags grading very good plus

An antique 1946 pair of Illinois License Plates which will grade very good plus. These are getting harder and harder to find in better conditions. Since they are made of fiber board, the corners break easily and the fiber just deteriorates if the plates are not taken care of. The state of Illinois went to using fiberboard in their license plates during the World War II years so they could conserve on metal. I have more than one set of these antique 1946 Illinois license plates available for sale, so the one in the picture might not be the one you will recieve, but all will be the same very good plus quality.
