1943 - 1945 Illinois License Plates

A small set of three Illinois license plates from World War II including the years 1943, 1944 and 1945, there is a single tag from each year. What makes this set special is the condition of each, which is excellent minus with about the only wear being some markings around the bolt holes, the color and gloss are superb. These are also the same numbers. The color of the 1943 is green with white letters, the 1944 is brown with white letters and the 1945 is black with orange letters. These are the World War II era car tags that were made of fiberboard, which is why there aren't many left in the condition of these. A lot of these fell to pieces while still on the automobile as they are fragile. A nice set of WWII fiberboard plates.
