A set of antique 1942 Virginia truck license plates that will grade excellent plus. I thought at first these were new old stock, but there are very slight marks around 2 slots on one plate only and they are minor, as the tag was put on and then taken off of a pickup very quickly. The 1942 VA tags were the last set of metal license plates that Virginia produced until World War II was over, as metal shortages became so severe as to curtail the production of license plates. The color of these license plates are white with black letters with Virginia 1942 both located at the top. If you wish to use these for year of manufacture on your antique Willys, Studebaker, Ford, Chevrolet or any classic 1942 Virginia truck or pickup you will first need to contact the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles to see if they will allow these for YOM use.
