1938 Alabama License Plates

A pair of used 1938 Alabama license plates for a passenger automobile, some of the AL tags of this year had arrows at the front of the numbers, this is the type that does not have the arrows. The color of these license plates were an odd bluish purple color with red lettering, however, most of the background color of these tags have light surface rust, the red lettering did not rust nearly as much as the background color. At the top is the state name, Alabama and at the right is the date 38.
