1927 North Carolina License Plate Black and White

An antique 1927 North Carolina passenger automobile license plate which will grade very good. There is an enlargening of the left bolt slot and some minor bends and scrapes, but overall a very good example of early NC tag. The color is black with white letters at the left is the expiration date of 6 - 30 - 27 and at the right is NC entertwined and E. The E at the left stood for the horsepower of the automobile. The state of North Carolina only issued single license plates during the year of 1927, however they did issue two different types, this is the black and white one. Cadillac came out with two new models during this year, the Fleetwood and the Lasalle Convertible Coupe. Oldsmobile introduced the Coach and Volvo started production during 1927.
