1916 Illinois License Plates

This antique 1916 set of Illinois passenger car license plates are in Very Good condition. The color of these automotive plates are silver with black lettering; however, the backs of these tags are green. The front plate was made with slots between the numbers to allow air to pass through in order to cool the radiator on the old Ford Model Ts. The DMV registration number for this pair of classic tags is 26333. The state of Illinois issued both front and rear tags in the year of 1916.
